Alexa will take the time to fully understand your personal circumstances and will work with you to create a plan that feels right for you. She is also comfortable meeting in any setting, whether in person or virtually, in light of COVID-19 restrictions.
Alexa obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa prior to completing her Juris Doctor at Thompson Rivers University, Faculty of Law in Kamloops. While in law school, she worked as an editor of the Canadian Journal of Comparative and Contemporary Law, provided legal assistance to clients of the TRU Community Legal Clinic, and received research grants to support faculty members on a variety of initiatives, including a book on evidentiary privileges and a nation-wide study on Canada's mental health and integrated courts.
Alexa has deep roots on Vancouver Island. She was raised between the Comox Valley and Cowichan Valley, has resided in Victoria, and now calls Ladysmith home alongside her husband and cats.
In her spare time, Alexa enjoys supporting local restaurants and wineries, finding hidden beaches and trails, and spending weekends exploring the Island with her friends and family.
Alexa was called to the British Columbia Bar in May 2020. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and Canadian Bar Association.
