Phil Dwyer C.M.
Phil is our articling student, working under the supervision of the firm's senior lawyers. Phil studied law at both the University of New Brunswick and University of Victoria, receiving his law degree in 2017. Since then he has gained valuable experience in family, estate, civil litigation and criminal matters. He has appeared in both Provincial and BC Supreme Court.
Phil understands that for many people the decision to seek legal help often comes during challenging times in their lives. His wide-ranging life experience and empathetic listening skills allow him to quickly focus on effective and reasonable solutions for his clients.
Prior to joining the legal profession, Phil had a notable career as a musician. He has received several Juno awards and, in 2013, was recognized for his work as a musician and educator by being named a Member of the Order of Canada. Phil was raised in Qualicum Beach and currently resides there. In 2010 he was named Qualicum's Citizen of the Year. He is currently on the board of both Forward House and the Pieter de Reuver Foundation. He is a proud father and a grateful husband. When not practicing law or playing music Phil loves to work in his vegetable garden and manages to slip in the occasional fishing trip to Bamfield.
